3 NYC locations for Video and Photo shoot

I enjoy taking photos and videos in New York as it has numerous beautiful cultural landmarks. I especially love how dance can blend with architecture in a very geometric way. For the HoC #UnapologeticallyAsain campaign, we scouted three locations. Yvonne from House of Chow and Candy Tong from Complexion were my models for the day.

Location #1 Cooper Union

Our first location was the iconic Cooper Union building, which has triangle shapes in its foundation. We utilized these shapes to create unexpected poses inside them. I loved combining two styles of dance - hip-hop and ballet. Yvonne and Candy had perfect chemistry with each other, and I loved how the garments provided by Chromat beautifully contrasted each other.

Location #2 Public HoTEl

For our second location, we selected the Public Hotel and its striking escalator that has become famous on Instagram. Yvonne's copper-colored bodycon dress matched perfectly with the neon lights of the escalator.

Location #3 RiverSide Park

Lastly, we had to capture a classic golden hour shot at Riverside Park, which runs along the Hudson River on the west side. Each pier has a unique aesthetic featuring modern park sculptures as well as rustic chic. We found geometric tables and asked Yvonne and Candy to create poses on them.
